HashThySelf would simply not have been possible if not for the following amazing open-source resources
- The Fedora project for
Fedora Linux, the complete OS with the Open Office productivity
software. Every HashThySelf server runs a version of Fedora Core.
OpenCV project at SourceForge, algorithms and code that greatly
simplified our lives in implementing the core of Hash.
- The fine and free Gimp,
Gnu's very handy Image manipulation toolkit. All static artwork for
HashThySelf, including the logos, were created using Gimp.
- ImageMagick and PerlMagick. All
dynamic artwork and images are manipulated in real time using the
incredible variety of algorithms implemented in ImageMagick.
- Gnu Emacs. All
html and most other documentation was created by editing directly
from the infinitely customizable Gnu emacs text editor.
- Cross-browser.com. Mike
Foster and his team at Cross-browser wrote the cosmically cool widgets
you see on our site and yours. Need I say more?
- Bigfoto. What a remarkably
rich collection of public domain images! Vist, and use with
- Open Source Web Design. Version 2
of HashThySelf was completely redone using inspiration and help from
various web templates on this site.
- A lot of hardwork that surprisingly, and thanks
to the other links on this page, seemed more like a pleasant diversion!
- And of course, Google. Our
faithful and ever-reliable companion, guide and information
seeker. We cannot begin to count the number of times Google has
found answers to our most pressing problems.
